The Downtown Wayfinding System is color-coded into 10 street level districts based on recognizable
landmarks. Street level entrances to the Riverwalk level are clearly marked, and an elevator is located at the streetcar station on Commerce/Alamo Streets. Most river level activity takes place on the horseshoe-shaped area west of Alamo St.

You can’t get too lost without eventually ending up close to where you started! The primary downtown east-west corridors (from north to south) are Houston St., and the one way couplet of Commerce (west) and Market (east) Sts. The primary north-south corridors (from east to west) are Alamo St., which divides into Losoya (N. of Commerce) then Broadway (N. of Houston) Sts., Market St., Presa St., Navarro St., St. Mary’s St., Soledad, Main and Flores Sts.

The Tower of the Americas landmark is just south of the Convention Center in the Convention Center District. Good luck and remember: if you find yourself momentarily misguided, just ask for help from an Ambassador Amigo (easily spotted in their turquoise uniform and friendly smile!).
